Triënnale Brugge 2024

Bruges Triennial is the triennial highlight of contemporary art and architecture in a unique, historic setting.

Every three years, Bruges Triennial brings contemporary art and architecture to this unique UNESCO World Heritage setting in the historic heart of the city of Bruges. The artistic team invites also for the fourth edition in 2024 a selection of (inter)national artists and architects to propose new temporary interventions around a specific theme imbued into the city. For visitors, Triennial Bruges will always be another free exploration along a unique and welcoming trail, which raises a social discussion.

For this fourth edition, the Bruges Triennial will explore the city's hidden possibilities with the theme of 'Spaces of Possibility'. How can a UNESCO-protected historic city, where non-building is central, cope with change? And how can contemporary art and architecture be a catalyst for this sustainable change?

Artists and architects

Curators Shendy Gardin and Sevie Tsampalla selected 12 artists and architects who – each in their own way – interpret the theme of 'Spaces of Possibility'. The installations are scattered throughout the inner city of Bruges, with a special focus on the West Bruges district, and Zeebrugge.

Rebel Garden

With ‘Rebel Garden’, Musea Brugge is presenting a must-see exhibition that will form part of the Bruges Triennial 2024. This is an extremely timely art exhibition that examines man's impact on nature and how it effects our environment.
