Header Belfort

The Belfry is impressive, to say the least. And the figures confirm the feeling of your first sight. Just like the music of the carillon that has been echoing from the tower for more than 500 years.

An 83-meter tower with 47 huge bells, accounting for 27 tons of bronze. The figures alone will make you giddy. And you have yet to see – or rather hear – the Bruges Belfry, and especially the carillon, at work. The triumph clock from 1680 has a diameter of 2 metres and weighs as much as 6 tons. In 2010, the carillon bells from the 18th century were thoroughly restored. This keeps Bruges' unique soundtrack in top condition.
